Before and After Repairs to Jarandilla Road.
Again! Reasons why you should never go around the detour sign. Graphic explanation of what happened on Jarandilla drive with several Inches of constant rain draining into Lake Lago. The completely overwhelmed ditch ran over the top of the road and undercut the road by six to eight feet creating a completely deadly scenario for anybody driving across if it failed.
Tune in this time to see the changes and the miraculous updates.
By utilizing new equipment that the POA recently purchased we were able to save between $60k and $70,000. A job that we would usually have to send out forbid and wait for a vendor to arrive and pay whatever they thought was fair is now well within our control. Hot Springs Village Road Department headed by Todd Noles, Matt Broom and Ken Unger worked diligently To ensure the safety of Hot Springs Village residents and drivers no matter the time of night or day. This particular piece of road was compromised about a year ago just about 1/4 mile up on the same piece of road. Very very steep area that drains into Lake Lago and helps keep the lake full. Lake Lago is the water supply for all of Hot Springs village and as such is a pristine water Resource.
Just remember that within the last month the Road department has had two major ice and snow storms then deluge rainstorms that result in compromised roadways. I personally applaud the men and women who work for the POA and the dedication and love they show the Hot Springs village members.

Dennis and Diana Simpson live on the beautiful shores of Lake Desoto. We enjoy the magnificent beauty and the super nice people that live here in Hot Springs Village. Someone asked me one time why I liked living in the village. It is a good question because I am a local guy just about 20 miles down the road in Benton AR. I said that it is wonderful all the adults live in Hot Springs Village. Hot Springs Village and its balance of price, beauty, security, and super nice people are for exploring. We are people who love to be out to spend time outdoors and be good to their neighbors. It is a modern-day Mayberry.
Make plans to see us today.
